Guatemala, a country famous for its abundance of volcanoes, the worlds first chocolate bar and incredible tasting coffee.
Pena Roja (translated as Red Rock) is a small co-operative of farms running along the border of Mexico, lying in the foothills of Pena Blanca (which has an altitude of a whopping 3250 metres above sea level!)
Every coffee cherry is picked by hand, fully washed and dried naturally in the sun on stone patios before being taken to the dry mill for export.
Guatemalan coffees usually offer flavours of citrus fruits, caramel and nuts making a vibrant, balanced and easy to drink cup of coffee.
